A good and well-conducted experiment design always has these components that define them: Observation, questions, hypothesis formulation, methodology, results.
What materials do you need in experiment?
- CD player & a CD (low drain device)
- Three identical flashlights (medium drain device)
- Camera flash (high drain device)
- AA size Duracell and Energizer batteries.
- AA size of a “heavy-duty” (non-alkaline) battery (I used Panasonic)
- Voltmeter & a AA battery holder.
- Kitchen timer.
What are 3 things an experiment must have?
An experiment usually has three kinds of variables: independent, dependent, and controlled. The independent variable is the one that is changed by the scientist. To insure a fair test, a good experiment has only ONE independent variable.
What are 5 characteristics of a good experiment?
Every science experiment should follow the basic principles of proper investigation so that the results presented at the end are seen as credible.
- Observation and Hypothesis.
- Prediction and Modeling.
- Testing and Error Estimation.
- Result Gathering and Presentation.
- Law Formation.
